The seized ganja is claimed to have a market worth of roughly Rs 54 lakh.

Digital Desk: The Government Railway Police (GRP) recovered a significant amount of ganja at Guwahati railway station on Wednesday in yet another large haul.

According to sources, 109 kg of ganja were recovered from a Howrah-bound Kamrup Express train stationed there.

The seized ganja is claimed to have a market worth of roughly Rs 54 lakh.

According to sources, the ganja was retrieved from an unsecured large bag stashed beneath a seat in the train.

According to sources, the ganja was trafficked from Dimapur.

The GRP seized 39 stolen mobile phones and 21 kg of ganja from a Rajdhani express train at Guwahati railway station earlier yesterday.

Prior to that, the GRP foiled a drug smuggling attempt in Guwahati by seizing a large cargo of opium worth around 10 lakhs from the New Delhi-bound Rajdhani express train.

In the same week, the GRP seized a large amount of ganja weighing around 42.32 kilograms.
