The first meeting of the Ninth Mizoram Legislative Assembly was addressed by Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati on December 13.

The governor began his speech by complimenting the people of Mizoram on their great turnout in the just-ended general election on November 7, 2023.

The high voting turnout rate of 80.43 per cent, he claims, demonstrates the Mizoram people's growing and keen interest in the election.
