Digital Desk: Four MLAs have been nominated by the Mizoram governor to serve as advisors to the chief minister, holding the position of Minister of State from the day of assuming duty.

In addition, Lalmunpaia Punte has been appointed as adviser to the chief minister (Political), TBC Lalvenchhunga as an adviser to the chief minister (Finance), H Ginzalala as an adviser to the chief minister (Technical) and Dr Lorrain Lalpekliana Chinzah as an adviser to chief minister (Health & Family Welfare & Agriculture).

The first meeting of the Ninth Mizoram Legislative Assembly was addressed by Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati on December 13. 

In the speech he gave, the governor emphasised the directions in which his government will carry out their programme of transformation, progress, and development for the state of Mizoram under the new ministry.
 
The governor began his speech by complimenting the people of Mizoram on their great turnout in the just-ended general election on November 7, 2023. 

The high voting turnout rate of 80.43 per cent, he claims, demonstrates the Mizoram people's growing and keen interest in the election.
