Ricky is only the 4th Indian and youngest person from India to have won a Grammy Award. American musician and composer Stewart Copeland is a five-time Grammy Award winner.

Digital Desk: It's a proud day for India as artist Ricky Kej received his third Grammy Award on Monday for the album "Divine Tides," which he co-wrote with rock veteran Stewart Copeland. The Best Immersive Audio Album prize went to the Bengaluru-based Indian music producer and composer for "Divine Tides," for which he was also nominated. At a live ceremony held at the Crypto.com venue in Los Angeles, USA, the outcome was revealed.

In 2022, Kej and Copeland won another Grammy for Best New Age Album for their joint work on this song. The composer was also recognised for his 2015 album, "Winds of Samsara."

"Divine Tides," a tribute to the beauty of our natural world, features artists from all across the world. The 9 tracks on this highly regarded album and its 8 music videos were shot in locations all over the world, from the breathtaking Indian Himalayas to Spain's chilly woodlands.

When he was nominated, Kej stated, "Being nominated for a Grammy Award for our record, "Divine Tides," a second time is a true honour. My music has always had significant Indian origins, even though it is cross-cultural, and I am incredibly delighted that Indian music has been acknowledged and shortlisted for this prestigious award by The Recording Academy. This nomination strengthens my resolve to keep creating music with a potentially positive social influence."

Ricky is only the 4th Indian and youngest person from India to have won a Grammy Award. American musician and composer Stewart Copeland is a five-time Grammy Award winner. He is the band's founder and drummer. The Police is a British rock band that has sold more than 75 million albums worldwide.
