Digital Desk: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) retains power in Gujarat for the seventh time in a row. The BJP has won 156 of the 182 seats in the House. AAP gets six seats, while Congress wins seventeen seats. The outcomes of the Gujarat assembly election in 2022 are in line with what was expected by exit polls. PM Modi praised party members and supporters for the landslide win and expressed his happiness over the outcomes of the assembly elections in Gujarat.

Following the historic victory, PM Modi thanked BJP workers and supporters and tweeted, "Thank you Gujarat. I am overcome with a lot of emotions seeing the phenomenal election results. People blessed politics of development and at the same time expressed a desire that they want this momentum to continue at a greater pace. I bow to Gujarat’s Jan Shakti."

Union Minister Amit Shah, too, expressed his gratitude for the unconditional support of the Gujarati people. Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the BJP's victory in the Gujarat elections on Thursday and asserted that Maharashtra-related projects were "taken away" as a factor in the outcome.
