Digital Desk: BJP's Pradipsinh Vaghela today resigned as the Gujarat general secretary, party officials said. While stepping down, Vaghela assured people that "everything will be fine in a few days."
Vaghela was appointed as the general secretary of the state BJP on August 10, 2016.
Notably, the announcement comes just one year before the Lok Sabha elections. With the elections in mind, the Gujarat BJP recently held a 'Maha Jan Sampark Abhiyan,' or mass contact program, in which it organized gatherings of intellectuals and conventions of various business communities, among other things.
Under this mass outreach initiative, the party organized 100 gatherings of intellectual citizens, conventions of various business organizations, events by various state BJP cells, and big rallies in all 26 Lok Sabha constituencies.
