The project states that guests will be taken inside a submarine to explore marine life 100 meters below the surface of the ocean.

Digital Desk: The government of Gujarat plans on providing a submarine service to help tourists explore the underwater realm of Dwarka, an ancient city said to be sunken beneath the sea.

For the project in the "city of the Hindu God Lord Krishna," the state government has signed an agreement with Mazgaon Dock shipbuilders.

This undersea tourism facility based on submarines will be the first of its kind in India. The current plan is for the government to operationalize the project by October 2024, just in time for Diwali.

The project states that guests will be taken inside a submarine to explore marine life 100 meters below the surface of the ocean.

Each submarine can accommodate 24 passengers and be commanded by two skilled pilots and a qualified crew.

According to The Times of India, the upcoming Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit will have an official project announcement.

The government hopes that Dwarka's tourism prospects will be enhanced by the submersible facility. Dwarka is a famous temple town in the country that receives a good amount of daily traffic.

In an interview with India Today, Saurabh Pardhi, the managing director of Gujarat Tourism, stated that the effort is a "different project" that will greatly boost travel to this region of Gujarat.

Every year, a large number of tourists flock to Dwarka because of its sacred significance. Hindus visit the renowned Dwarkadhish Temple from all over the world. The location is said to be a submerged city that Lord Krishna constructed, according to mythological texts.
