Digital Desk: During the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) vs. Gujarat Titans (GT) IPL 2023 match on Friday (March 31) at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium, Gujarat Titans (GT) key player Kane Williamson, unfortunately, injured his right knee while attempting an 'almost impossible catch' to save the ball from going over the boundary ropes for a six.
Kane Williamson almost made the grab, but the ball slipped out of his grasp. Williamson's poor landing caused things to become a little heated. He couldn't get back up after falling. GT's medical team arrived shortly after his horrific fall to help the Kiwi icon, who was then taken off the field. Kane's injury is awaiting a formal report.
"It didn't look promising. I'm hoping it won't be too horrible. We'll have to find out about his status soon," Gujarat Titans (GT) coach Gary Kirstenn reportedly said on Kane Williamson’s injury.
