Yadav's legal ordeal serves as a reminder of the serious consequences associated with wildlife-related offenses...

Digital Desk: Popular YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner, Elvish Yadav, found himself entangled in legal woes recently. Arrested on March 17, in connection with a case under the Wildlife Protection Act 1972, Yadav spent six days behind bars before being granted bail. The bail was first granted by Gautam Buddha Nagar District Court on March 22, followed by another grant from a Gurugram Court on March 23.

Yadav's lawyer, Prashant Rathi, confirmed that the court approved bail on two sureties of Rs 50,000 each. The charges against Yadav and five others included violations of the Wildlife Protection Act and Section 120A (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code.

The arrest stemmed from a raid conducted by the Noida Police last year, based on a complaint filed by the People For Animals (PFA) organization. The raid uncovered a banquet hall allegedly used for organizing rave parties, where poisonous snakes were involved. The PFA's FIR named Yadav, accusing him of orchestrating these events.

Under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, the removal of venom glands from snakes is considered a punishable offense, with potential imprisonment for up to seven years. Nine venomous snakes were recovered during the raid, adding weight to the allegations against Yadav and his associates.

Additionally, the Noida Police imposed the 29 NDPS act on Yadav, indicative of involvement in drug-related conspiracies. This act is known for its stringent provisions, making bail particularly challenging for those implicated.

Yadav's legal ordeal serves as a reminder of the serious consequences associated with wildlife-related offenses and the importance of adhering to legal regulations concerning animal welfare.
