Digital Desk: Assam State Transport Corporation (ASTC) intends on launching its first-ever app-based cab service, which would be available to the people of Guwahati soon.

The upcoming app will offer a variety of services to satisfy the needs of users, such as airport pickups, taxi trips, and sightseeing excursions. It will also include a special premium trip package dubbed "Guwahati Darshan," which will include a complete city tour that includes popular attractions like Kamakhya, Kalakshetra, the zoo, and the science museum.

Informing the customers, the users will be able to pre-book cabs in advance, ensuring an effortless journey to their destination.

The app will also prioritize consistency by ensuring zero trip cancellations by drivers.

Furthermore, the app will include critical safety features such as an emergency panic button and AI chatbot help desks, assuring a secure and user-friendly experience for all users.

Reportedly, the cab services given through the app will be cheaper than other cab services on the market. Furthermore, drivers will be forced to recharge a total of  Rs15 before beginning each trip to ensure smooth operations and reliable service. If this app is successful, ASTC intends to expand its capabilities by offering bike services as an alternate choice.
