Digital Desk: An Assam Police personnel was found dead in Guwahati in the early hours of Monday. The police constable, identified as Raju Mahato's body was found under the flyover at Lokhra on National Highway(NH) 27 in Guwahati, Assam. 

An official from the Garchuk police station said that the body of Raju Mahato was found lying under the flyover at Lokhra at around 4:30 am. He was an unarmed branch constable at the Borjhar police outpost, the official said.

The official added that no injury marks were found on the body. However, the body was sent to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for post-mortem.

The reason behind his death remains a mystery. Meanwhile, investigations are underway regarding the sudden death of a police constable.
