Digital Desk: In a significant effort to review security measures in the city ahead of the Independence Day celebrations, the Guwahati police convened a crucial meeting in Khanapara, Guwahati.


The closed-door meeting, held at the office of Khanapara Police Commissioner, was led by Partha Sarathi Mahanta, the current Commissioner of Police for Guwahati.


All DCPs, ACPs, and Officers-in-charge (OCs) across Guwahati were present at the meeting.


The security measures surrounding Independence Day were reviewed during the meeting.


The attendees were instructed to set up strict security protocols in their respective jurisdictions.


Each police officer was directed to maintain sharp and heightened vigilance in sensitive areas across the city.


Orders were issued to thoroughly inspect old and scrap vehicles to prevent potential security threats.


Additionally, instructions were also given to the police officers to keep a close watch on every subversive activity to ensure a safe and secure environment for the upcoming celebrations.
