Digital Desk: A 25-year-old girl, Pratiksha Sharma's dead body was recovered from her rented apartment in the Tarun Nagar area of Guwahati on Thursday. Her lifeless body was found under mysterious circumstances in her rented house.
Pratiksha was a talented student and a topper of her batch at Darrang College. For her talent, she earned many accolades, including a president's award. A student of Guwahati University, Pratiksha completed her MBA and managed to get a job in Dalmia because of her merit.
Police obtained CCTV footage of her rented house and found a man entering her room the previous night. Family members informed police that Pratiksha had been in a romantic relationship with the man since her university days.
Her family has alleged that the man cheated on Pratiksha with another girl, which resulted in her breaking up with him.
However, his presence in the CCTV footage has garnered the attention of her family as they are alleging the man's involvement in the case.
The suspected man's identity is not yet known. A case has been registered in Gitanagar Police Station by Pratiksha's family members. A police investigation is underway regarding her death.
