According to the association, over 18,000 vehicles are currently operating in the Ola-Uber cab service.

Digital Desk: The Ola-Uber cab service in Guwahati will be discontinued on February 1, according to a news conference held today by the All Assam Cab Mazdoor Sangha and the All Guwahati Bike Taxi Operator Union.

The decision was made by the association because the firm had long exploited the cab drivers.

According to the association, over 18,000 vehicles are currently operating in the Ola-Uber cab service.

Meanwhile, the Rapido bike service will be discontinued in the city, according to the bike taxi operator union.

Previously, in November of last year, cab drivers announced that they would not offer public transportation unless their demands were granted.

The drivers also requested that the government develop new apps for their services.
