Digital Desk: One person has been arrested in connection to the murder of an e-rickshaw driver in Guwahati's Hengrabari. The arrested individual has been identified as Tileswar, who, like the victim, also worked as an e-rickshaw driver.

The deceased has been identified as Khagen Das, a resident of Nalbari district. The incident unfolded earlier this morning when a dispute broke out between Tileswar and a woman. When Khagen Das attempted to mediate and defuse the situation, Tileswar allegedly turned violent, ultimately resorting to a brutal attack. The police were immediately notified, and upon receiving the information, the Dispur police swiftly arrived at the scene and recovered the victim's body for post-mortem examination.

Tileswar reportedly confessed to the murder, leading to his subsequent arrest by the police. The motive behind the altercation and subsequent killing is currently under investigation.

The tragic incident has sent shockwaves through the local community, raising concerns about safety and security in the area. Authorities are urging residents to remain calm while the investigation unfolds and justice is sought for the victim, Khagen Das.
