Digital Desk: Another water pipe burst was reported on Friday near Borbari in the city's Hengerabari area.

The visuals show water spilling out of the pipe at a lower density than in the previous water pipeline burst incidents. The incident was reported near the Nabajyoti Club in Borbari.

While the burst was not fatal, the recurrence of similar incidents contrasted sharply with the government's commitment to averting such mishaps.

Recently, the Guwahati Jal Board water pipeline had been burst at Rajgarh Road near Commerce College Link Road. There were no reports of injuries or fatalities in the incident; however, properties worth thousands of rupees were damaged.

A Gammon JICA water supply mainline pipe burst last month in Guwahati's Kharguli area. The burst resulted in a huge water gush that damaged at least 40 homes and washed away several vehicles. Over 600 people were reportedly affected, and approximately 30 people were injured as a result of the incident.

The tragic event killed one individual, identified as Sumitra Rabha. She lived in one of the houses that had been damaged by the flood. Meanwhile, the injured were sent to nearby hospitals for treatment.
