Digital Desk: A wild elephant was spotted roaming the streets of Panjabari in Guwahati, Assam, on Monday evening. 

According to the locals of Panjabari, at around 6 p.m. today, the elephant was seen entering the residential area and walking freely on the streets in search of food. 

According to eyewitnesses, the elephant came from the Army Camp in Narengi.

Meanwhile, this caused panic among the locals. The presence of the elephant in the area caused the main road in Panjabari to be closed for an extended period of time.

However, people's efforts helped the elephant be driven out of the region without damaging people or property.
