Digital Desk: In a tragic occurence, a married woman allegedly took her own life by consuming poison in Guwahati.
The incident occurred at a Shiva temple in Guwahati's Kalapahar neighbourhood.
According to reports, the woman and her children went to a nearby Shiva temple on Friday morning.
After praying for a few minutes, the woman is said to have consumed poison on the temple grounds.
The incident was reported to the police by eyewitnesses.
The police immediately rushed the unconscious woman to Gauhati Medical College Hospital (GMCH).
However, the doctors declared her brought dead.
Meanwhile, the deceased woman's husband has been accused of desperately torturing her. However, the police department has yet to respond to the incident.
Further investigations into the case are being conducted.
