pandemic.
Notably, on October 2 in Guwahati, the India-South
Africa T20 match will be held at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium.
Himanta Biswa Sarma, the Chief Minister of Assam,
stated in a statement to the media, "We have decided to speed the building
works and the flyover will be available for use by the public before the
India-South Africa T20 match, which is to be played in Barsapara Stadium.
“This
decision was taken so as to avoid any traffic jams as many people would be
rushing to the stadium to witness a cricket spectacle after like 2 years”,
Sarma added.
According to an official, the two teams will be
arriving in the city on September 29.
