Digital Desk: Deepika Padukone was recently sighted with Ranveer Singh
at Mumbai airport as the two prepared to leave on her birthday trip. On January
5, the actress will turn 37 years old. Deepika made her acting debut in Farah
Khan's Om Shanti Om in 2007, alongside Shah Rukh Khan. Deepika was a model
before becoming one of Bollywood's highest-paid performers, and she appeared in
numerous TV ads in the 2000s.
Deepika
appeared in one of the first advertisements for a toothpaste brand. In the 2004
commercial, she was seen dancing in the bathroom with an animated Close-Up
toothpaste. Over the next few years, Deepika Padukone garnered attention for
her TV ads for brands such as Limca, in addition to walking the runway at
fashion events for some of the country's finest designers. In a Limca
commercial, the actor was shown dancing in the rain and jumping in pools of
dirty water on the road. Throughout the commercial, she sipped from a bottle of
Limca.
Another old
advertisement featured Deepika advertising Naihaa, a Chennai-based clothes
business. The commercial depicted her as a professional woman with a corporate
career who remains linked to her Indian heritage. In the commercial, she meets
a prospective husband who appears to be as taken with her as she is with him.
Deepika
Padukone, the eldest daughter of Indian badminton legend Prakash Padukone, used
to be a national-level badminton player before she became a model. Deepika
began her acting career after years of modelling. Deepika has been in films for
15 years, beginning with Om Shanti Om, in which she played a movie star as well
as an actress paid to impersonate the aforementioned movie star.
She has now collaborated with some of Bollywood's most acclaimed
directors, including Sanjay Leela Bhansali (Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela,
Bajirao Mastani, Padmaavat) and Shoojit Sircar (Piku). Deepika was most
recently seen in Gehraiyaan (2022), alongside Ananya Panday and Siddhant
Chaturvedi. Shakun Batra directed the picture, which was produced by Karan
Johar. Pathaan, her next film starring Shah Rukh Khan, is planned to be
released on January 25. Among other upcoming ventures, she has Fighter with
Hrithik Roshan.
