Highest rise in COVID-19 cases in 2021

As per the Union Health Ministry, India has recorded a new high in the number of corona virus cases in the country. In the last 24 hours, India has reported 47,262 new COVID-19 cases, 23,907 recoveries and 275 deaths.

The total number of cases in the country has ascended to 1, 17, 34,058 including 3, 68,457 active cases and 1, 12, 05,160 recoveries. The death toll has now gone up to 1, 60,441. Maharashtra continues to remain the most affected state with 2, 31,942 active corona virus cases.

So far a total of 5, 08, 41,286 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered according to the Indian Council of Medical Research (IMCR).
