  • Worker sustained serious injuries after being hit by the speeding vehicle of actress Nandini Kashyap
  • Nandini Kashyap reportedly drove the vehicle at a speed of 120 km per hour during the incident

Digital Desk: The Dispur police has summoned Nandini Kashyap to appear at the station on Monday at 11 am for investigation into the hit-and-run allegations against her.

In a shocking incident, a Guwahati Municipal Corporation worker sustained serious injuries after being hit by the speeding vehicle of Assamese actress Nandini Kashyap, widely known for her recent film 'Rudra.'

Nandini Kashyap reportedly drove the vehicle at a speed of 120km per hour during the incident.

She hit Samiul Haque, who was engaged in street light maintenance work for the municipal corporation in Dakhingaon. The incident took place early Friday morning.

After the incident, Nandini reportedly fled the scene, which prompted other workers to follow her.

She eventually drove the vehicle into an apartment complex in Kahilipara, where she reportedly got involved in a verbal altercation and even assaulted a person who tried to record the video of the incident.

The accident left Samiul Haque with severe injuries, including the amputation of both legs and fractures in his arm and thigh.

Despite the incident, Nandini Kashyap did not inquire about the victim's condition. Initially, she had promised to cover the medical expenses, but later informed the family that she would not bear the costs.

The victim is currently in critical condition, battling for life in the ICU at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH). Doctors have recommended transferring him to Patna for advanced treatment.
