HITO urged Minister Incharge Health & Family Welfare of Meghalaya to speed up and made the Maternity & Child Hospital functional at the earliest.

Digital Desk: The members of the Hynniewtrep Integrated Territorial Organization (HITO), Ri Bhoi District, on Monday reiterated their demand for speeding up the remaining construction of the Maternity & Child Hospital (MCH) at Niangbyrnai Parila, so that the hospital could be made functional at the earliest for the benefits of the general public in the district.

HITO has voiced their demands after their participation in the inspection conducted by the Minister Incharge Health & Family Welfare Dr. Mazel Ampareen Lyngdoh along with the health department and other linked departments officials.

Speaking with the Reporters, HITO president B. Kharnaior and vice president Elvis Kyrshian, expressed their happiness and gratitude towards the initiative of the Minister concern who visited and enquired on the part of the construction which is still yet to be done on different engaged departments level and also laid the deadlines to these department to complete their part at the earliest.’

They also said that many minister and official has come and gone inspecting the construction of the MCH but till dates the results is yet to be witnessed by making this health care institution functional, therefore, we do not want the same to happen here but the organization expect that the present health minister and the state government will give their hundreds percents in completing the incomplete works at the earliest and to make this institution functional for the benefits of the general public.
