Srinagar: Former Assam chief minister and Union Minister of AYUSH and Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal, seen playing cricket at Baramulla on Thursday.

Sonowal shared a video clip on his Twitter handle, where he can be seen hitting the ball, enjoying his love for cricket exactly after nine days of the Majuli boat tragedy, which took the lives of three individuals.

He wrote, “At Baramulla today. Tried a few shots. The love of sports, especially cricket, binds us together in a thread of unity and harmony.”

Notably, he was the former MLA of Majuli, but now it seems that he didn’t even care what's going on among the Majulians after the boat tragedy.

Sonowal switched to the central ministry after being denied chief ministership.

However, he didn’t stand up to the expectations of the Majulians despite getting such an esteem post in the Union Ministry.

Notably, Sonowal will inaugurate the first-ever medical course of Bachelor of Unani Medicine & Surgery (BUMS) at Unani Medical College & Hospital at Ganderbal district on September 17. So, today only he reached Baramulla to attend the event on tomorrow.
