Digital Desk: BJP has declared a historic win in the Gujarat Assembly elections of 2022, according to the recent EC trends. Several leaders took to Twitter to respond to the results. PM Modi congratulated party members and supporters on the resounding victory and expressed his satisfaction with the results of the Gujarat assembly elections in 2022.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) appeared to be on track for a historic victory on Thursday, crossing the majority threshold in Gujarat by capturing the majority of Assembly seats whose results have been revealed so far.

The simple majority threshold in the state Assembly, which has 182 members, is 92. On the other hand, the Congress, which had gained 12 seats but only held a lead in 5, was on course for its absolute failure in the state. AAP has gained four Assembly seats so far and was in the running for a fifth.

Union Minister Amit Shah, too, expressed his gratitude for the unconditional support of the Gujarati people. Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the BJP's victory in the Gujarat elections on Thursday and asserted that Maharashtra-related projects were "taken away" as a factor in the outcome.
