Guwahati: An illegal trader was arrested by the Sonitpur police station on Sunday with a huge quantity of Mustard oil cartons in Rupahihat.
The accused has been identified as Anarul Islam. He had reportedly stored 800 cartons of mustard oil in his godowns.
According to sources, the driver has been caught in Telahi and has been identified as Ainul Hoque.
The driver had allegedly purchased Mustard Oil worth Rs 12 Lakh
The Sonitpur Police has arrested has Aranul Islam but the other two accused in the case managed to escape.
Further investigation on the case is going on and police are searching for the other two accused.
