The State Excise Organization is conducting daily raids to stop the sale, production, and transit of illicit alcohol under the command of the Indian Election Commission.

Digital Desk: During the state's election season, the Excise Organization of Tripura has recovered approximately 2000 litres of illicit alcohol worth Rs 5.12 lakh from various sites throughout the state.

According to a news release from the Chief Electoral Office (CEO), on January 31 the State Excise Organization recovered 2032.165 litres of illegal alcohol worth Rs 5,12,617 throughout the State.

The State Excise Organization is conducting daily raids to stop the sale, production, and transit of illicit alcohol under the command of the Indian Election Commission.

The Excise Organization confiscated 2032.165 litres of illegal alcohol on January 31 throughout the State, which is equivalent to Rs. 5,12,617, the report stated.

The State Excise Organization recovered 9825.813 litres of illegal alcohol after the election announcement date, totaling Rs. 22,26,968 in value, and 30 complaints were filed. Several people were also detained in relation to the seizure.
