Digital Desk: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday issued an orange alert for Assam and other north-eastern states on Friday.
IMD predicts that on May 27 and 28, 2024, there will likely be significant to extremely heavy rainfall over Assam and Meghalaya.
On the other hand, heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected on May 26 and 28, 2024, while extremely heavy rainfall is expected in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura on May 27.
Meanwhile, Arunachal Pradesh is expected to have heavy to very heavy rainfall on May 27 and extremely severe rainfall on May 28.
Therefore, Sikkim will have heavy to extremely heavy rainfall on May 27 and 28, 2024.
