Digital Desk: The Barpeta Police successfully apprehended infamous dacoit Kenaram Boro in a well-executed operation in Assam's Sadiya on Monday, marking a huge breakthrough.

Kenaram, who had been on the run for months, was charged with the daring robbery at the State Bank of India (SBI) Customer Service Centre on Barpeta Road. The incident occurred on Wednesday and featured the stealing of a large sum of money when the offenders resorted to shooting.

According to reports, Kenaram and his colleague attempted to rob a State Bank of India Customer Care Service Centre in Barpeta's Shakti Nagar on May 31.

Kenaram and his buddy both entered the SBI customer service centre to withdraw money and started fire.

The townspeople were able to assault the miscreants and capture one, while Kenaram fled the scene. Fazal Ali was identified as the other miscreant who was critically hurt in the incident.

According to reports, both of the suspects attempted to steal roughly Rs 3 lakh when Shah Alam and another associate were closing the centre.
