Digital Desk: India plans to evacuate Indian students stuck in Ukraine through alternative routes. There are more than 20,000 Indian students stuck in Ukraine. They are pleading for help and support from their homeland. In such a situation, India has decided to choose a different route to evacuate the Indian students stuck in Ukraine. On Thursday, Russia has begun strike upon Ukraine, and the war has started. The initiation of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine has created chaos among the residents of Ukraine. Moreover, news reports have stated that Ukraine has stopped dollar exchange policies, creating additional issues for students of India in leaving Ukraine. On Thursday, Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin, urging a peaceful resolution to the conflict. As a result, 4,000 out of 20,000 Indians living in Ukraine have been evacuated, according to Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla. India is now preparing to evacuate its population via alternative routes. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) announced on Thursday that teams had been dispatched to Hungary, Poland, the Slovak Republic, and Romania's land borders with Ukraine to assist in evacuating Indian people. "To assist in evacuating Indian nationals from Ukraine, MEA Teams from @IndiaInHungary, @IndiainPoland, @IndiaInSlovakia, and @eoiromania are on their way to the adjoining land borders with Ukraine," said Arindam Bagchi, spokesperson of Ministry of External Affairs.
