In the history of Test cricket, this is India's largest-ever victory in runs. On the fourth day of the third Test, England tried to chase down a 557-run target but were dismissed for 122 in 39.4 overs owing to a five-wicket haul from Ravindra Jadeja. In the first innings, the local boy hit his fourth century in a Test match.
Yashasvi Jaiswal, who was forced to retire due to a back spasm after reaching his third century in Test cricket on Day 3, came out to bat again and hit a brilliant 231-ball double century. Sarfaraz Khan, making his debut, was also brilliant, striking 68 off 72 balls without falling.
