Anjum Moudgil is a professional shooter from India. She represents Punjab and is from Chandigarh.

Digital Desk: Anjum Moudgil is a sharp shooter representing india and has won silver in the rifle 3-position behind Denmark's Rikke Maeng Ibsen at the shooting World Cup in Baku, Azerbaijan, on Friday.

Anjum, 29, shot 587 in qualification and 406.5 in the second stage, which qualified him for the medal round. Anjum finished 4.9 points behind the Dane, who won the gold medal match 16-12.

It was Anjum's second individual silver medal in a World Cup event, following his silver medal in the World Championship in air rifle. Anjum previously won silver in the rifle 3-position event at the 2018 World Cup in Guadalajara.

The Indian men's rifle 3-position team of Swapnil Kussale, Deepak Kumar, and Goldi Gurjar also won silver, losing 17-7 to Croatia after a close duel in the previous two stages of qualification.

Ashi Chouksey, Anjum, and Ayushi Podder shot 867 in the second stage of the women's rifle 3-position team event, missing out on a medal by one point. It was a letdown after the team had topped the first stage of qualification with 1316 points.

The Indian tally increased to one gold and three silver medals, propelling the team to third place on the medals table behind Korea and Serbia.Indeed, a truly admirable performance given that the Indian team had limited itself to rifle events, not fielding any shooters in pistol or shotgun.
