India's tour to South Africa: India are set to face South Africa in the all-format tour featuring three T20Is, three ODI matches...

Digital Desk: India's quest for redemption after their ODI World Cup 2023 final defeat has begun on an emphatic note as they powered through Australia in a five-match T20I series, clinching victory with a resounding 4-1 scoreline. Led by the dynamic Suryakumar Yadav, the home team showcased remarkable prowess, bolstered by stellar performances from Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rinku Singh, and Axar Patel. With this commanding start, India now sets its sights on a comprehensive, all-format tour of South Africa.

The series against Australia witnessed Team India's resurgence, marking a promising start to their journey of reclaiming glory. Their attention now shifts to the upcoming tour, commencing on December 10, featuring three T20Is, followed by as many ODIs starting from December 17, culminating in a riveting two-match Test series from December 26.

In a strategic move, skipper Rohit Sharma and batting maestro Virat Kohli will be rested for the white-ball series, reserving their appearances solely for the Test matches. The responsibility of leading the team in the T20Is rests on Suryakumar Yadav's shoulders, while the proficient KL Rahul will assume leadership in the ODIs.

Adding depth to the squad, the return of leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal and wicketkeeper Sanju Samson injects renewed vigor into the team for the ODI series, signaling a well-rounded roster set to take on the challenges in South Africa.
