Authorities reported that the suspect, Reinhard Sirait, 33, of Jakarta, Indonesia, was apprehended trying to carry cocaine using a "dangerous method.

Digital Desk: An Indonesian man was detained by customs officials at the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (LGBI Airport) in Guwahati, Assam, on suspicion of trying to transport cocaine. 

Authorities reported that the suspect, Reinhard Sirait, 33, of Jakarta, Indonesia, was apprehended trying to carry cocaine using a "dangerous method.

Sirait was found by customs to have hidden multiple pallets full of cocaine within his body. 

On the Kamrup Metro District Chief Judicial Magistrate's orders, customs officers transported Sirait immediately to Gauhati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) after his apprehension. 

There, Sirait underwent surgery to remove 36 pallets, each weighing roughly 10 grams of suspected cocaine, from his body. 

The recovered cocaine is estimated by officials to be worth several crores of rupees. 

It may be mentioned that an inquiry is underway to determine where the alleged drugs came from.
