The police previously interrogated Jnandip Mahanta after learning of significant financial transactions...

Digital Desk: More information about the cash-for-job scam has come to light as the inquiry into Indrani Tahbildar's death progresses, and the name of another BJP leader has surfaced.

Sources claim that the Chandmari Police have called Jnandip Mahanta, the vice president of the BJP in the Kaliabor district, to appear in court on Monday about the cash-for-job scam. However, citing health issues, the BJP leader Jnandip Mahanta did not appear at the police station.

It has come to light that the police previously interrogated Jnandip Mahanta after learning of significant financial transactions in the accounts of him and another BJP leader, Trishna Sarma. Mahanta was asked by the police to provide information regarding the money transactions; however, when he refused, the police summoned him again.

He was called in for questioning in Hareshwar Kalita's Chandmari Police Station case number 325/23.

It was also discovered that the cash-for-job scam committed by party leaders was exposed as a result of the suicide case of BJP Kisan Morcha secretary Indrani Tahbildar.
