Digital Desk: In a frightening occurrence, a group of women engaged in a violent fight over a window seat aboard a GOL Airlines jet in Brazil. The brawl caused the flight to be delayed by two hours.

According to the Brazilian news outlet Aventuras na História, the altercation began minutes before the plane was scheduled to take off. According to the news outlet, a woman asked another passenger to swap seats with her crippled child, but the passenger refused, which enraged the woman, who began abusing the passenger's family. Within minutes, the brawl turned violent, prompting the captain and crew members to interfere.
"I was already locking the doors when I noticed the two slapping each other in row 20," said a cabin crew member, according to the Daily Mail.
 
According to the flight attendant, the women were yelling, slapping, and abusing each other. 

The airline confirmed the event and stated that the passengers involved in the brawl were deboarded.

"Gol informs that the situation in the social media video occurred before the takeoff of flight G3 1659 this Thursday (02/02) between Salvador (SSA) and Congonhas (CGH), in So Paulo," the carrier said.

It continued: “Everyone involved at the scene of violence [was] disembarked and did not continue their journey. The company regrets any act of violence and reinforces that the actions taken by the crew team were taken with a focus on safety, Gol's number 1 value.”
