Instagram head Adam Mosseri gave a brief demonstration of how the new feature will work in a video shared to his broadcast channel...

Digital Desk: Meta-owned Instagram is on the cutting edge of social media innovation, testing an exciting new "sticker creation" feature that promises to revolutionize how users engage with their photos. This feature allows Instagram enthusiasts to transform their images into custom stickers for use in reels and stories.

In a recent video shared on his broadcast channel, Instagram's head, Adam Mosseri, offered a sneak peek into this exciting development. He explained, "We're testing a way for you to turn photos into custom stickers to use in reels and stories. You can create stickers from your own photos in your camera roll or from eligible images you see on Instagram."

Engadget was the first to spot this intriguing feature. The tool automatically selects the main subject in a photo and removes the background, resulting in a free-floating sticker that can be overlaid on other content. However, it's important to note that this feature is currently in its testing phase and hasn't been made available to all users just yet.

But Instagram's drive for innovation doesn't stop there. Another upcoming feature involves the ability for some users to create polls in the comments section of their posts-old. This exciting addition gives creators yet another means to boost engagement with their content, further strengthening Instagram's appeal as a dynamic and interactive social media platform.

With these innovative features on the horizon, Instagram continues to be a hotbed of creative expression and interaction for its global community of users.
