Zomato Gold, which replaces the company's Pro Plus membership, has been officially launched...

Digital Desk: Zomato has updated its Zomato Gold loyalty programme, which will replace the company's Pro Plus membership. Zomato Pro Plus, for those who are unaware, was officially discontinued in 2021.

The new Zomato Gold is the company's fourth loyalty programme. To refresh, Zomato debuted its Pro Plus membership in 2021, following the introduction of the platform's Pro membership in 2020, which superseded the original Zomato Gold programme.

Back then, Gold membership was mostly centred on restaurant dining savings. The Pro package included perks such as priority deliveries and discounts on online food orders. The benefits have altered significantly since then.

On the app, Zomato is displaying a request for the newest version of Zomato Gold. The membership is now available. As part of the launch, Zomato is providing Zomato Pro members with a three-month free Gold subscription through April 25.

The Zomato Gold subscription plan was released with a three-month introductory price of Rs 149. The cost of the annual plan has not yet been disclosed. The online meal delivery network has introduced many subscription-based features.

The most appealing feature of Zomato Gold is free delivery on orders above Rs 199. It should be noted, however, that free delivery will be limited to establishments within 10 kilometres of users. The delivery site also announced a Rs 100 voucher if the order is delayed, as well as VIP access during peak hours. Zomato Gold, the online meal delivery platform's relaunch, attempts to compete with Swiggy One, which offers similar perks.

Zomato confirmed that Gold membership will provide customers with a "no delay guarantee," with delayed deliveries resulting in users receiving a Rs 100 discount promptly.

Swiggy One also provides free delivery within 10 kilometres of the user, but only on orders above Rs 149. Swiggy One subscribers also receive savings of up to 30% at over 20,000 eateries around the country.

During rush hour, Zomato Gold will also provide VIP access. This simply means that Gold subscribers will have priority access to eateries during peak times.

Furthermore, Zomato Gold provides eating specials. The company has collaborated with over 10,000 restaurants across the country, allowing Gold members to receive up to 40% off dining out.
