New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has suspended the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 for the time being after several players and support staff tested positive for Covid-19.

The decision comes at a time when players were close on heel for Monday’s IPL 2021 match between the Kolkata Knight Riders and the Royal Challengers Bangalore in Ahmedabad being rescheduled after the Knight Riders’ spinner Varun Chakravarthy and seam bowler Sandeep Warrier tested positive for COvid-19.

The IPL is All set to Move back to Mumbai this week. The BCCI is currently working on shifting the entire Machinery currently based out of Delhi and Ahmedabad to the Wankhade and DY Patil stadium tentatively by Friday May 7.
