BCCI's second regulation adjustment is that multiple DRS will now be available to reduce the number of incorrect choices.

Digital Desk: The BCCI leaves no stone left as the IPL approaches in less than two weeks. According to a report published on Monday evening by Cricbuzz, there will be two significant rule changes for the upcoming IPL 2022 season. What happens if a squad becomes unable to play the necessary participants due to the bulk of the team being affected by Covid-19? In this instance, the BCCI will attempt to rearrange the game; if this is not feasible, the subject will be moved to the Technical Committee, who will make the final decision. "Unable to field a team on account of COVID for any match due to having less than 12 players available in the playing XI (of which at least 7 must be Indian) plus 1 substitute fielder," the BCCI stated in a statement on Monday (March 14).  "At the BCCI's decision, the game will be rescheduled for later this season." If this is not practicable, the matter shall be reported to the IPL Technical Committee. The IPL Technical Committee's judgement shall be final and binding.  "The former rule stated that the board "would endeavour to reschedule the match for a later date during the season. If this is not achievable, the franchise will be considered to have lost the match, and its opponent will receive two points." The second regulation adjustment is that multiple DRS will now be accessible to reduce the number of incorrect choices. "The number of reviews in each innings has been raised from one to two," the BCCI said, confirming the Marylebone Cricket Club's (MCC) idea that the new batsman must take the strike even if the middle batters crossover during a catch. "Regardless of whether the batters have crossed or not, the approaching batsman will take the stroke until it is the last ball of the over," the BCCI reminded the teams.
