IPL 2023: Riyan Parag plays his first IPL match at home ground

There are reports that Riyan Parag will be seen again in the match between Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals at the Barshapara Stadium on April 8.

Digital Desk: The IPL match played between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) on April 5 was a big occasion for the people of Assam as that was the first-ever IPL game being played at Guwahati.

The match was played in Guwahati’s Barsapara stadium.

Assam’s Riyan Parag was a part of RR and impressed the crowd with his batting and fielding in the high-voltage match at the Barsapara stadium.

About the match: RR vs PBKS 

Rajasthan Royals won the toss and elected to bowl early in the match. Riyan Parag caught Punjab Kings batsman Jitesh Sharma through fielding and then blocked a powerful shot from Punjab Kings skipper Shikhar Dhawan.

Punjab Kings set a target of 198 runs for Rajasthan Royals in 20 overs

Riyan Parag scored 20 off 12 balls with one four and two sixes for Rajasthan Royals.

Riyan Parag was later dismissed by Punjab Kings bowler Nathan Ellis. He was caught by Punjab Kings fielder Shahrukh Khan while trying to respond to a bouncer with his bat.

There are reports that Riyan Parag will be seen again in the match between Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals at the Barshapara Stadium on April 8.
