A mob of about 200 individuals allegedly beat pilgrims and vandalised the ISKCON Temple in Dhaka, Bangladesh's capital, earlier on Thursday.

Digital Desk: The Bangladesh government committed on Monday to punish perpetrators of the recent attack on the ISKCON temple in Dhaka with "exemplary" punishment, stressing that they will not be spared regardless of their religion. The Bangladeshi government, led by Sheikh Hasina, issued an official statement condemning the incident and blaming vested forces for attempting to throw the country into contempt. However, he was met with resistance by a group of 15-20 persons (including Rupanug Gaur Das, the Principal of Iskcon temple)." "It has been learnt that ISKCON members had filed proceedings against Md. Shafiullah under section 145 of the CRPC in 2016, 2017 and 2021.
