In Kolhapur, it's normal to hit your parents, but they won't put up with any abuse directed towards Prime Minister Modi or Home Minister Amit bhai Shah, according to Patil.

Digital Desk: Bharatiya Janata Party leader Chandrakant Patil stated,  “abusing parents is acceptable, but they won’t tolerate a word against PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah.”

Patil, who is known for his controversial comments, started the new row in Pune during a ceremony of congratulations.

In Kolhapur, it's normal to hit your parents, but they won't put up with any abuse directed towards Prime Minister Modi or Home Minister Amit bhai Shah, according to Patil. The opposition parties attacked Patil without delay. "He can admire his leaders, but he shouldn't harm Kolhapur and Maharashtra's cultural traditions. Leaders ought to use caution while complimenting their subordinates. Parental abuse is unacceptable, NCP MLA Rohit Pawar said.

Manisha Kayande, a spokeswoman for the Shiv Sena, said sarcastically that “abusing parents is BJP’s Hindutva.” Patil has experience with controversy. He has previously insulted NCP Lok Sabha MP Supriya Sule with misogynistic insults. She needs to prepare bhakari thapa at home. Regarding yet another statement he made regarding Sule in the context of the OBC quota, Patil was unrepentant.

The MP's husband, Sadananda Sule, criticized Patil, claiming that he had merely shown how misogynistic his party was. Recent instructions from Patil to his waiting party employees included the phrase "go home as your wife and kids must be waiting." Devendra Fadnavis, a member of the BJP, was appointed as Eknath Shinde's deputy, and Patil was the one to claim that the party "decided with a heavy heart."
