The notification further stated that Dutta's name had been mentioned in the Sharda Chit Scam Fund and ED/PMLA cases, and that she was in frequent contact with Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Digital Desk: Vardhan Yadav, National Secretary of the Indian Youth Congress (IYC), has sent a legal defamation notice to Angkita Dutta, former President of the Pradesh Youth Congress.

The notification was issued in response to Dutta's tweet and allegations made against Vardhan Yadav. In compliance with the directives of the National Chairman, Advocate Roopesh Singh Bhadauria, the IYC legal cell has launched strict legal action on the subject.

The defamation notice was issued on behalf of Vardhan Yadav by Adv. Ambuj Dixit, the National Co-Coordinator of the IYC Legal Cell. Adv. Dixit stated in his testimony that Dutta had used completely unparliamentary, undignified, slanderous, and spiteful language against Vardhan Yadav. He went on to say that Dutta's charges were completely untrue, frivolous, and without foundation.

The notification further stated that Dutta's name had been mentioned in the Sharda Chit Scam Fund and ED/PMLA cases, and that she was in frequent contact with Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

The IYC legal cell claims that Dutta was deliberately maligning and defaming people in order to create an atmosphere in which people would leave the Congress Party in order to join the BJP, the ruling regime at both the state and federal levels, and thus get these cases closed.

According to the IYC legal cell, the entire process of publicly maligning and defaming Vardhan Yadav was politically driven and had no basis in truth. The legal letter delivered to Dutta required that she withdraw her statements against Vardhan Yadav immediately and give a public apology, failing which she would face legal penalties.

Meanwhile, Manjit Mahanta, Chairman of the Assam Congress' Media Department, held a press conference at Rajiv Bhawan on Saturday.

Mahanta addressed Angkita's dismissal from Congress during the press conference. "Angkita has been expelled from her primary membership position for the next six years," he stated. The APCC has no jurisdiction here; the AICC makes the decision."

Angkita herself applauded Srinivas a few months ago, but now she accuses the leader of harassment. She was told to be patient for a while, but she nonetheless filed the complaint."

"On top of that, she disobeyed the party's president." She was ordered to wait 48 hours, but she chose to go against the party. Angkita has been expelled for exceeding her boundaries; no one is above the party. Furthermore, she is being utilised as a scapegoat by the BJP," he continued.
