Following the parade, the team headed to Wankhede Stadium amidst cheers and chants from passionate supporters...

Digital Desk: Anand Mahindra, chairman of the Mahindra Group, joined the nation in celebrating Team India's triumphant return after winning the T20 World Cup. Thousands thronged Mumbai's Marine Drive to witness the open bus victory parade, creating a vibrant sea of blue. The team's delayed arrival due to adverse weather conditions in Barbados didn't dampen the spirits of the fans who eagerly awaited their heroes.

Upon seeing the overwhelming turnout, Mahindra playfully renamed Marine Drive as "Mumbai's JAADU KI JHAPPI," signifying the warmth and affection showered upon the team. His remark resonated widely, including with India batter Suryakumar Yadav, who expressed admiration for the new moniker.

Following the parade, the team headed to Wankhede Stadium amidst cheers and chants from passionate supporters. At the stadium, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) honored them with a substantial prize of Rs 125 crores for their historic victory. India ended a 13-year drought in ICC World Cup trophies with a hard-fought victory over South Africa in the final, clinching the title by seven runs.

Virat Kohli's pivotal 76 runs anchored India's total of 176/7, while stellar bowling performances by Hardik Pandya (3/20) and Jasprit Bumrah (2/18) ensured South Africa fell short at 169/8, despite a fiery innings from Heinrich Klaasen.

Bumrah, with a remarkable economy rate of 4.17 and 15 wickets throughout the tournament, was rightfully awarded the 'Player of the Tournament' accolade, highlighting his crucial role in India's success.

The T20 World Cup triumph not only sparked jubilation across the nation but also underscored India's prowess in international cricket, marking a memorable chapter in the sport's history.
