Pinky Irani and Jacqueline Fernandez's statements were first recorded individually, after which they were confronted and questioned together to get further information about the situation.

Digital Desk: Jacqueline Fernandez and Pinky Irani were both summoned by the Economic Offences Wing on Wednesday in connection with an extortion case linked to conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar, and the Delhi Police has reportedly found contradictions in their statements. Before choosing when to call the actor again, the senior officials will discuss Jacqueline's remarks.

Actress Jacqueline Fernandez joined the investigation after receiving the third summons, and she was interrogated in the extortion case today for about eight hours. Pinky Irani, who was allegedly paid lakhs of rupees for the role of introducing Jacqueline Fernandez to the con artist, was with her.

Pinky Irani and Jacqueline Fernandez's statements were first recorded individually, after which they were confronted and questioned together to get further information about the situation.

Another Bollywood actor, Nora Fatehi, was questioned by the agency about the matter earlier this month for six to seven hours, and her statement was recorded.

The ED claims that Chandrashekhar gave luxury cars and other expensive presents to Nora Fatehi and Jacqueline Fernandez using the proceeds of the crime.

Conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar, who is currently in jail, is accused of defrauding numerous prominent people, including Aditi Singh, the wife of former Fortis Healthcare promoter Shivinder Mohan Singh.

In a charge sheet submitted on August 17, the ED named Jacqueline Fernandez as a defendant in a high-profile money laundering case involving Chandrashekhar.

Sukesh Chandrashekhar allegedly gave the actor jewellery worth more than Rs 7 crore. Additionally, he allegedly sent the actor and her family members a number of high-end vehicles, pricey bags, outfits, shoes, and watches.

Jacqueline had earlier claimed in a statement to the ED that con artist Sukesh introduced himself as the head of Sun TV and a member of a powerful political family from Chennai. Jacqueline said in writing that Sukesh Chandrashekhar gave her expensive purses, diamond jewellery, a mini cooper, limited edition perfumes every week, flowers every other day, and flowers on alternate days.

Jacqueline also claimed that she first met Sukesh in June, when he told her that his uncle had died of a cardiac arrest and wanted her to travel to Chennai to attend the burial. Moreover, she claimed that Sukesh persuaded her that he was the owner of the private planes and helicopters she had utilised for her private visits.
