Digital Desk: Another reason to party for the Indian Cricket Team! Fresh off their exhilarating win at the 2024 T20 World Cup in Barbados, the Indian Cricket Team has more reason to celebrate. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a hefty bonus, further fueling the celebratory mood. BCCI secretary Jay Shah revealed a whopping 125 crore rupees to be distributed among the entire team, including players, coaching staff, and support staff.

This generous sum complements the official prize money awarded by the International Cricket Council (ICC) to the champions. The ICC provides $2.45 million (approximately 20.42 crore rupees) to the winning team, but the BCCI's gesture significantly amplifies the celebration of this momentous achievement.

Lauding the team's exceptional performance, Jay Shah stated in a media release, “Under the exceptional leadership of Rohit Sharma, this team has shown remarkable resolve and resilience, becoming the first team in the history of the ICC T20 World Cup to win the tournament unbeaten. They have faced and silenced their critics with stellar performances time and again. Their journey has been nothing short of inspirational, and today, they join the ranks of the greats, achieving something truly special that brings immense pride and joy to all Indians.”

Jay Shah expressed immense pride in the team’s dedication and unwavering spirit. He acknowledged the contributions of key players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Jasprit Bumrah, crediting them for fulfilling the aspirations of 1.4 billion fans across the nation.
