Digital Desk: Ranveer Singh's upcoming film Jayeshbhai Jordaar debuted its first song on Monday. Ranveer shared the video to the song Firecracker on social media, in which he frolics and dances around, enjoying the firecrackers in his life. Ranveer's fans lauded his portrayal of a simpleton Gujarati, saying he has once again taken on the role of that character.
The
video of the song opens with Ranveer Singh’s character
Jayesh, dressed in his trademark shirt and trousers, dancing his way through a
muddy street as women dressed in sarees with ghoonghats groove alongside.
As the song describes the exploits of Jayesh, a
desi rapper describes Ranveer's involvement in the firecracker in Jayesh's
life. He then enters a big courtyard, dancing with hundreds of women and girls,
as the song continues to list the attributes of this firecracker.
