Jo Nongrum and Jiwat Wasvani, the owners of the Woodland Dhaba and Jiva Restaurant, respectively, led the planting of 1200 saplings during the day. 


Digital Desk: The owners of the LC Woodland Dhaba and the Jiva Veg Restaurant Nongpoh took the initiative to plant over 1200 tree saplings along the highway strech from Mawdiangum and Umlyngkdait villages at Nongpoh areas, in Ri Bhoi District, in order to preserve the natural greenery and preserve the scenic beauty of the National Highway 6 stretch.

 

The National Highway Authority of India, the Dorbar Shnong of Mawdiangum, and Umlyngkdait all supported the project and actively took part in the planting of the seedlings.

 

Jo Nongrum and Jiwat Wasvani, the owners of the Woodland Dhaba and Jiva Restaurant, respectively, led the planting of 1200 saplings during the day. An NHAI official, the Rangbah of Mawdiangum Rexson Warjri, and N. Makdoh Rangbah Shnong of Umlyngkdait also took part in the planting of the saplings.
