Srinagar: A Special Police Officer of Jammu Kashmir Police Force along with his wife and daughter were shot at by terrorists at their residence. Terrorists entered their home and sprayed bullets on them indiscriminately. While SPO and his wife succumbed to the bullet injuries, their daughter has been admitted in the hospital in critical condition.
SPO Fayaz Ahmad was a resident of Hariparigaon in Awantipora, according to the police. Security forces said they have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to track down the terrorists.
The incident came on a day when terrorists struck an Air Force base in Jammu in what is believed to be the first drone strike on an Indian military installation.
