Digital desk: Bollywood actor and self-proclaimed film critic Kamaal R Khan, was taken to a Mumbai hospital on Tuesday night after he suffered chest pain following his arrest on Tuesday (August 30). KRK was sentenced to 14 days in judicial jail by a Borivali court in 2020 for his abusive tweets about actors Rishi Kapoor and Irrfan Khan.
The actor was brought to Mumbai's Shatabdi hospital last night, after which he was brought to Malad Police station. "He is currently in Thane jail," said a senior police inspector of Malad police station.
Khan was detained on Monday night at the Mumbai airport and appeared before the magistrate court in Borivali later that day. Khan has been booked under sections 500 and 153A of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for defamation and promoting enmity between two groups for his comments on social media and under Section 67A of the IT Act for transmitting obscene content in electronic form.
